How do I become a member of Beta Alpha Psi?
In order to become a member you must first go through a pledge process which takes a semester to complete. Below please find this process outlined.
Three requirements must be met in order for you to achieve OFFICIAL pledge status in Beta Alpha Psi"s Alpha Gamma Chapter:
*12 credits for graduate students
Once you have met the above three requirements you may begin the process of becoming an OFFICIAL pledge:
* You may email a copy of your transcript to our Vice-President of Membership at vpmem.bap@gmail.com.
* You may pay our membership fee either through by check or money order.
* Please write your checks out to "Baruch College for Beta Alpha Psi".
* Arrange to meet up with the Treasurer - treasurer.bap@gmail.com
* You must receive a confirmation email from our VP of Membership if you have met up with the treasurer and paid. If you do not receive a confirmation email please follow up with our Treasurer.
After completing the above three steps you will be considered an OFFICIAL pledge.
OFFICIAL pledges are updated at the end of every week. At this time you must fulfill the subsequent membership requirements in order to be considered a member at the end of the semester. Please note: only after you are considered an OFFICIAL pledge may you begin to receive credit for any events that you attend. Effective Fall 2009, here are the new Beta Alpha Psi pledge requirements for our Alpha Gamma chapter:
**Please submit an Excel sheet of the professional events that you have attended at the end of the semester to VPmem.bap@gmail.com once you have completed the requirements.
ALL hours must be completed within the semester you became an official pledge in order to become a member.
*NO APPLICATIONS OR TRANSCRIPTS WILL ROLL OVER.*
You will have to complete another application and submit another transcript if you fail to meet the membership hour requirements in the semester you became an OFFICIAL pledge. Your membership fee will rollover, however membership fees are NOT REFUNDABLE under any circumstance.
